Delivery/Broadcasting FAQs

Will stationery cause my messages to be blocked by SPAM filters?
No. Our straightforward HTML programming uses no scripting technologies, and the graphics are served rather than attached, allowing messages to pass all known anti-virus and SPAM filters.

Will it take longer to send or receive messages?
No - because we serve the graphics when the email is opened, rather than embed the picture files, the size of an email message composed on our stationery is only 1k larger than a plain text email.

Will my stationery appear when I reply to messages?
Only if you choose that feature while installing it. This feature can be turned on/off at anytime.

Will I have to use my stationery for every message I send or reply to?
No. You may choose to have it pop-up automatically for every email or you may simply insert it with the click of a button anytime you want to use it.

Will everyone that I send email to see my stationery correctly?
Almost all message recipients will be able to see your stationery exactly as it looked when you sent it. No matter what, your typed communication will always go through clearly.

Graphic Viewing Optional: Some email programs will first prompt recipients with a little link saying something like "Display images?". These recipients will find this prompt very familiar - if they have this type of a feature enabled in their email program they will see these "display images" links all the time.

Why do my images look out of place when I compose an email?
This is just something Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail and IncrediMail do when it is composing a message. Your email will be received safe and sound exactly as you planned for it to look. Send one to yourself as a test.

Are my E-Stationery graphics attached to each email or are they hosted on a server?
There are no graphics attached to our emails. Our graphics are served rather than attached, allowing messages to pass all known anti-virus and SPAM filters. We host them on our server free of charge for our users for the life of your email stationery.

My email IS ATTACHING all the graphics. I thought they were supposed to be pulled from the Internet?

Design FAQs

What is a digital signature and how do I get it included in my Email Stationery?
A digital signature is a graphic of your actual signature. To have it included in your stationery simply take a fine tip felt marker, make a large signature on a white piece of paper, scan it and sent it to us - we will do the rest.

Can my email stationery have embedded links back to my website?
Yes - we will include embedded links back to your website. The most common links include a link to your homepage and a link to your email address. If you desire to have additional links please inform us of that when placing your order.

Note: No links are active when you are in "compose" mode. Links only become active after you have sent them.

What if my address or telephone number changes in the future?
Changes can be made to your stationery at any time. Changes usually cost between $10 and $25.

What if my message is too long for the size of my stationery?
All of our email stationery and newsletter layouts automatically get longer as your message gets longer. The result is that your message will always look good, no matter how short or long it is.

Can you add a confidentiality statement to the bottom of my stationery?
Yes. Please notify us with the wording you would like to use and we will display the statement below your stationery.

Can I have an email stationery look exactly the same as my business letterhead?
Yes. Just send us the digital file of your letterhead and we will convert it into an email stationery with embedded links.

Yes. Depending on the software you use will determine the process. Please check with you email campaign service to see if they allow uploading of your custom html templates.

What online services does E-Stationery recommend for email marketing and email campaigns?
We highly recommend www.AWeber.com for all your subscriptions and email marketing campaigns. E-Stationery Depot also offers a service to set up your AWeber account and will even manage all your email campaigns for you.

  • Optionally use verified opt-in (also commonly called confirmed opt-in) for leads subscribing via a form on your website. Strongly recommended.
  • View any undeliverable leads while the service automatically handles anyone who is permanently undeliverable.
  • Block individual email addresses or entire domains from subscribing.
  • Allow lead removal via a "Subscription Options" link in each of your messages.
  • Save time by manually removing multiple leads at once.
  • Automation rules save time by subscribing or unsubscribing leads when certain actions are completed (ie: unsubscribe a new customer from a prospect list).
  • Customized "Subscription Options" web page with your company logo and website link.
  • Search subscribers and save custom searches for later retrieval or segmenting of newsletter message sending.

Should I ever use online services that blast my email to huge numbers of opt-in email addresses?
We recommend that you be very cautious about this. Make sure the company is reputable and offers a very good value. Always ask to do a test to a small list first to see if you get any results before spending big money.

When is Email Marketing considered SPAM?
SPAM is simply sending unsolicited emails to people. If they have not subscribed to your newsletter or a 3rd party opt-in list then it is SPAM. If you send SPAM you can be blacklisted from major services like AOL, etc and then no one with an email address at those services will ever be able to receive emails from you.
